Dapto Sink hole
Sydney trains contacted us for an emergency job to rectify a lever bay void which had become structurally unstable to the point that it had collapsed leaving a sink hole on the platform directly opposite to the entry. We mobilised our work force immediately to travel down to site and make the necessary improvements to make the access and egress to the rail corridor safe for all commuters and personnel. We did this by way of a temporary ply decking system. Once we had time to set up our design fix and safety procedures, we commenced the permanent fix to the damage caused and completed the works under live rail conditions within a five-day window to minimise any disruptions to the commuter access.
